The Double Market Saturday Extravaganza!

Happy Easter Weekend and the second half of Passover! We were lucky enough to have pretty awesome weather for the majority of the weekend, despite some clouds and a little light drizzling on Saturday. We had big plans for the day as we were looking to cram in not one, but two markets to our usual uni-market-Saturday. First we hit up the Ferney Saturday market about 2-2 1/2 hours earlier than usual, which felt very strange because we're usually rushing to get all of our shopping in before the vendors close up shop.

With not a lot of time to dilly-dally, we finished up our shopping and headed over to Geneva to meet up with Kim and Derek for the Plainpalais Flea Market. The clouds were definitely setting in and towards the end of our shopping it began to drizzle a bit. I had three sweet finds at the flea in the form of a cool tea towel (I heart tea towels), a cool Swiss-made platter from 1954, and a hard-bound copy of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" from 1909 that was in really great shape. Score!
[It was a little windy.]

[Scary doll. Go away!]
[Market goodies!]
After the market we grabbed some espressos and macchiatos at a cafe to recharge and getout of the drizzle a bit. By the time we got home we were exhausted, but luckily had all of our Ferney market goodies to nosh on while watching Season Two of "Arrested Development."
Ferney market + Plainpalais flea market + good friends + Buster + Lucille 1 = a dang good day.
